Checking In: Jane Iredale Makeup, Kamik Rain Boots, and Missing the Hustle and Bustle

Hey pal! How’s it likely on this third working day of the yr? It is peaceful in my dwelling, and I really don’t know how I sense about it!

We’ve had so numerous folks go in and out our doors more than the earlier two weeks, and with my sidekick at residence, it was loud and boisterous and just so pretty. Now I miss out on it, but I’m also form of relieved, which is odd, I know.

Probably I’m still recovering from the trauma recognized as 2020, but socializing these times, though I get pleasure from it, normally takes a ton out of me.

I’m the natural way a social human being, but internet hosting, cooking and cleansing is draining, Proper? Why are there so numerous dishes? And why does vacuuming never ever stop? LOL!

And yet… I nevertheless love the hustle and bustle of obtaining friends and loved ones above. It just reminds me that lifestyle keeps heading.

Anyway, the only audio I hear now is Rosie chomping on her kibble and the fridge buzzing. I’m a little lonely, not gonna lie.

Yesterday I wanted to be productive and prepared to stow the Xmas decorations, but instead we put in it painting Connor’s new rain boots with these brilliant Posca paint pens.

Connor did most of the patterns, but I chipped in a tiny little bit in this article and there with some hearts and stars.

These rain boots, by the way, are from a new-to-me Canadian model called Kamik, and they ended up so very good at trying to keep Connor’s toes dry that I want a pair for myself.

Just before we decorated them yesterday, we took the boots out for some puddle stomping at a hike we like to do in our city that prospects you up to a waterfall, and even just after crossing multiple creeks, Connor’s socks stayed completely dry.

My socks got moist, even though!

Am I the only person who just can not offer with moist socks? They’re my pet peeve. Anyway, I’m on a mission to locate a pair for myself!

I’m also on a mission to place on eyeshadow that is not NARS Fez or Kalahari (my go-to shades for, oh, the previous 6 months or so). This early morning I dug into a drawer and unearthed some beauties from Jane Iredale!
